Deloris called meeting to order in absence of
President Jim Burnett.
The minutes were read. A motion to approve was made
and second. Minutes approved as read.
The financial report was given. A motion to approve
was made and second. Financial statement approved as read.
Letters were handed out of the Citizens Committee
request to meet with the trusteeship and Caldwell County Commissioners. The
trusteeship refused sighting an outstanding debt of assessment of $7675.00. A
second letter was sent to have the trusteeship reconsider their position and
give a detailed, itemized account of how the trusteeship reached this $7675.00
amount. No answer was returned from the trusteeship.
Also, several individual property owners approached the trusteeship in writing to repair the road from the highway to little dam spillway. Again the trusteeship refused sighting an amount of $6966.25 in assessments as the reason. A second letter was sent to have them reconsider and give a detailed, itemized account of how the trusteeship reached this $6966.25 in assessment. No answer was returned from the trusteeship.
We welcomed new members, some that were able to
attend and some that were not able to attend but support making a positive
change in the park and getting rid of the trusteeship that has not worked in
past and is currently not working.
We had an open discussion of progress and comparison
of attorneys. We are still on the right track with hopes that our next meeting
will finalize paperwork.
Due to the cold, raining day and other obligations
few attended. Next meeting will be October 18th. With the location
to be announced as soon as it could be confirmed.
A reminder to let every property owner know of the
change in meeting and progress that has been made.
A motion was made to adjourn. The motion was
seconded and meeting adjourned.
