From a meager begining in
1992, consisting mainly of our own children, approximately 30, the members
of the Lord's Church from Kirksville and Trenton Missouri began the Grand
River Bible Camp as it exists now. It has grown to the point that
in 1998 we had to turn away children who applied to attend. We have
sought to acquire the best teachers that north and central Missouri has
had to offer. Proof of that statement is found in the fact that a
substantial number of the children who have attended through the past 6
years have obeyed the Gospel, by putting on their Lord in baptism.
For those parents considering Grand River Bible Camp for their children
this coming year we offer these thoughts: We know how to study the
scriptures with the seriousness it deserves, we know how to build meaningful
friendships that will last a lifetime, and we know how to address the question
of having some good old down to earth fun! Through the examples of
the older children who have attended for several years, our disciplinary
problems have been kept to a bare minimum, they are almost non existant.
Please consider Grand River Bible camp for your child this coming year,
but you must apply early!
