I have had the privilege of interviewing Laura Warren who is a registered nurse and head of Hedrick Medical Center’s Obstetric department .  As department head, she is in charge of all aspects of the department including other nursing staff. We discussed many different things including educational background, stress levels, and good versus bad within the job.

My volunteer experience is with Hedrick Medical Center. My clinicals/apprenticeships are with the various local nursing homes. These experiences have given me opportunities to perform various tasks related to nursing. These tasks include but are not limited to taking and recording vital signs as well as transferring   and grooming patients. By working in these situations,  I have a better understanding of needs of various types of patients.

Volunteer/Clinical/Apprenticeships

Being a part of FBLA has given me numerous chances to participate in community service projects with the Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Chillicothe, and be a Partner In Education. Each year we try to include as many community members as possible as we educate our classmates and other students in our school district about different events. These projects have helped me develop skills dealing with leadership, networking, teamwork, presentations, communication, organization, details, and analyzing problems.
